Two Power Adaptor Sheets?

There's an error in the main site; In the MM6 section, under 'Adaptors', there are 2 Power Adaptor sheets. I've noticed one is .gif and the other is .png.
The one in charge accidentally uploaded both.
EDIT: Also, they're called mm8powsheet. Same goes for the Jet Adaptor; mm8jetsheet.

Megaman X4/X5/X6 Backgrounds

I've noticed we have a lot of the sprites from the PSX/PC series of the X games but I am always trying to look for the backgrounds out of them and am never able to find the things, i'd rip them myself but I haven't got the slightest clue on how to so I suppose this is some sort of request for background art off the games.

I know we have them for X1 so I am guessing there would be some other people that would like to see these eventually on the website, though if it is not possible to rip them, I understand. Many thanks. Cool

Various help request for Shantae Fan game

Hey folks. SilentBobX here.
I've been meaning to post this for a while, but haven't had the chance what with my busy schedule. I'm in need of some help for a Shantae fan game project I'm working on. I need help with some various assets for the game. Sprites, backgrounds, tile sets, ect.
I'll need help with boss characters and some editing for excising characters. I've already taken stage enemy characters and converted them into moving sprites in the Game Engine I'm using, so no need to worry about that. I'll also be trying my hand at the sprite editing for the existing characters, so I'll be able to help with that at least. lastly, in regards to sprites, I've made a sprite sheet for an original playable character, but need help fixing him up.
I do plan on using many assets from Risky's Revenge/Pirates Curse, but there's not lot out there, so I'm wondering if anyone can rip a few stages from said games. I already have what the Spriters Recourse has to offer, but still need some assets from other levels. I do plan on having original levels as well so I'll need help with that.
If you're willing to help, let me know and I'll get back to you when I can, either PM me or ask here. If anyone has any questions let me know and I'll answer them as best as I can. If you need info on the project. here's a link to the thread:

The Fallen Alchemist's Playthroughs

While some of you know of my channel, others of you may not. The oldest videos are actually music pieces I did years ago, but that is obviously not what I do now. I play fan games, Japanese doujin titles, indie games and even H-games (adult locked) but the majority of the channel has a focus on Mega Man and similar style games.

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheGrimLordBStone

Some of the games I cover are completely in Japanese and can only be found on my channel. I am the only western player with a complete playthrough of Yakouga 5 and Lethal Operation Rei:Hen.

I plan to upload some new doujin I've aquired as well as some all-ages footage of two immensely fun H-games, Rance 5D and Rance VI. The latter is one of the best JRPGs in years for me, I've thoroughly enjoyed the dungeon and battle system. The best way to describe this title would be if Leisure Suit Larry had a child with Final Fantasy IV-VI.

Hopefully you will see these soon! Smile

To put it briefly, it's a game where you build stuff with coloured blocks. For now, that's it, I'm still thinking how I would build upon this idea.

MaGMML2 Pit of 100 Trials Postgame

Hey everyone, Notencore, NaOH, and myself plan on running a section of the MaGMML2 postgame that is an endless style section like in 9/10/endless, but with a definitive end. So what we would like from you is to send in submissions for this.

Rules/Guidelines:

1. Your submission must be between 1 and 6 screens long, no exceptions.
2. Your level must start and end with a teleporter.
3. You can use any vanilla gimmick/tiles/any other assets from the engine.(nothing you made yourself)
4. It has to be beatable without being hit.
5. If there is forced weapon usage give energy so that it is not impossible to do in any situation.
6. You cannot place down an energy element in your section.
7. You can submit multiple sections.
8. All levels may be tweaked by either Notencore, NaOH or I at our discretion (although I hope we dont have to).
9. Go light on instant death sections as they are no fun in endless.

Update:
Spikes will no longer kill you, but they will do damage, and pits will send you back to the beginning of the section

Let's Talk About FictionSphere

So, has anyone heard of a fan game called Mega Man ZX Genesis? That fan-game is (currently being) made by Team Einherjar. As of recent, the team decided to go and make a new, completely original game! This game is called FictionSphere!

.jpg  592ed6846e248c44b8d9b91a03a64e.jpg (Size: 209.96 KB / Downloads: 21)

As a fan of Mega Man ZX Genesis, I found myself very interested in FictionSphere! It's not straight up a Mega Man clone/game (like Mighty No. 9) but you can clearly see that they were inspired by it! In fact, I think it's safe to say they were inspired by specifically the Mega Man Zero and ZX games (and IMO even the Azure Striker Gunvolt games!)!

They currently are having a Kickstarter and I think any support given to the project will please the developers greatly! I highly recommend looking at their Kickstarter page since they have far more information that I have not even talked about yet!

So, what do you guys think? Liking what you see? Me personally, I hope to see it grow and become a game in the future!

What do you enjoy in the original levels?

There's been lots of discussion here in regards to fan games and their levels, but I'm not sure I've ever seen discussion of the "source material" in that way. So...

In the official Classic-series Mega Man titles, what level design did you actually enjoy?

What levels or level segments do you still enjoy on subsequent playthroughs, and why?
What did Capcom do right back in the day that made you love the original games?
I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this subject.

If there's something you'd like to groan about in the original games that's fine too, though I'm much more interested in what's actually enjoyed in MM level design as I suspect bad parts are more obvious/commonly agreed upon.

Just wondering what has happened to it. The CV dungeon has announced hordes of promising fan projects, a few nearly on their way out the door. Would be great to get a community for CV fans in there again.

I've seen this particular sprite sheet of Zero from X1 around the internet but I can't seem to find the proper sprite resolution for it.

If anyone can find me the original resolution of the image or recreate this, that would be appreciated. Thank you.

Runnin' Gunner [HELP WANTED]

So about a month ago, I began planning a game called Runnin' Gunner. This is a top-down shooter game in the vein of Super C's base stages or the overhead levels in Contra 3. However, it includes some original mechanics, as well as the Option mechanic from many Gradius-type shooters.

Here is the design document.

Now, it did say "[HELP WANTED]" in the title of this post. Well, I need programmer(s). I'd like to use Unity for this project, and I need experienced Unity programmers to do this.

I will be handling all the artwork, design, and (possibly, not focusing on this so early in development) music myself.

Here is some graphics I have made so far:

Thank you, and I hope this goes well.

EDIT: Some information I forgot:
- This game will be a free download.
- I am not able to pay any people looking to help using money, but I can trade you assets such as music, design, or graphics.
- Feel free to respond here, or contact me on Discord. (Quack Man™#0172)

Sprites Inc. Rumble sprite sheet - questions

(if this isn't the right place feel free to move it admins)

So, I figure Sprites Inc. Rumble (remember that?) is deat at this point - no posts have been made in the topic for 3 years, and I don't think I've seen Karasai around for one year.

The reason I bring this up is because I'd taken an interest in the sprite sheets provided by Soviet Commando as character templates for the project. Additionally I made a sprite of an associate's OC using a base I created that is very similar, though I think/hope is distinct enough. So, my questions to SovCom are:

A) What is the status of both templates that were to be used for Sprites Inc. Rumble, usability-wise?

and

B) Is it OK if I created a full sprite sheet for my template?

For reference, here are the original two sprite sheets by SovCom:

.png  Basic Sheet.PNG (Size: 2.71 KB / Downloads: 25)
.png  Basic Sheet v2.PNG (Size: 3.75 KB / Downloads: 25)

And here is the base I created:

Free to Use Megaman Vector Logo

Hi! Here is a near-accurate classic Megaman Logo made by me. Though the shades on the letters are not 1000000% on point but that is the best I can do!

[Download]
Zip contains .psd and .ai file with 2 layers each.(words and the red triangle behind)

Feel free to use it for your fangame! it's the reason I made this since the only high quality Megaman logo on the internet, as far as I can find, are just Legacy Collection and MM9 logo which you'll have to crop those additional letters out in order to use it.
Credit is not really necessary but I appreciate it! MM - Happy

BBLIR's scrapped MM game ideas

The reason for cancelling these fan games is not just my shift of focus onto Mission 9000, the main reason for all of these is I have trouble mimmicking the Mega Man style.
Some of these i've tried programing (are marked //), but it didn't come out well.
Here's the list:

Mega Man X: Y
A Mega Man X game.
Bass' Adventure
A game starring Bass, duh.
[spoiler]Sprites: Bass, a few enemies and Torch Man
Music: no
Design/: Bosses, enemies, levels, characters
Progress: http://www.mediafire.com/view/km0e166sly...g[/spoiler]
Other ideas I never started working on, just random ideas in my head:
An Elf Wars game
A 3D remake of MM1, 2 and 3
A game in the style of MM7
A re-do of MM Rush Marine //(engine.gm81)

There are a few more, but they are either terrible, trivial, or I forgot about them.
Tell me if you want more info.

do any of you fan game creators take requests?

If any fan game creators see this massage, I want you to know that i desperately seek someone who can bring my idea to life. It may be ambitious, But i know that many people would love it. it would be a fan game called Mega Man tribute. it would be a tribute to the blue bomber and his legacy. It would have Mega Man, Protoman, Bass & Playable characters from Mega Man fan games. It would have robot masters and similar bosses from Mega Man 1-9 and a lot of fan games. It will have a shop, easy, medium and hard difficulties.

If any fan game creator sees this, contact me and we could see if things could work out. Ok. See ya!

MOD EDIT: Merged three topics into one topic, it was a bit cluttered otherwise. Also moved from Game Ideas to here since this is a better place for it.

Megaman Fangames Extravaganza

$

To celebrate Megaman's 30th Anniversary (even if it's still too early for that) i'll be doing a series of videos of me playing the most obscure MM fangames, taken straight from Yoyo games! Some of them had the potential to be good, some of them are bad, some of them have MIDI music, and some of them can't even be qualified as "games", and you'll see why soon...

Here's how it'll work: i'll post a video per day and i'll leave a link(s) to the fangame(s) shown in it.

NOTE: Since there will be more than one fangame on this list and because i don't want to spam the "Let's Play" section with multiple threads about one fangame that mostly it'll be just done in one video i'll be posting all of them here.

Also, why would i upload these videos right now instead of waiting until December to do it? well, there's two reasons for that:
1. I want to get them out of the way, and besides, these videos are the only thing i have right now, no memes, no random videos or anything else right now.
2. Since YouTube is going to discontinue Annotations in May 2 it's better to upload them now than wait for them to die, and trust me, unlike the previous two fangames i played (MM: The Final Chapter & MMZ), i do have lots of things to say about these new fangames right now.

So get your weapons ready! because this will be the start of a wild ride!

Disclaimer: None of the fangames shown were created by me, they belong to their respective owners.
